“Our main activities are, however, sales and seasonal rentals management,”
Châteaurenard, a town in the countryside
Radia Amar - 24 May 2024
At the foot of a small hill, between Saint-Rémy de Provence and Avignon, Châteaurenard is a charming commune offering all the assets of a town in the countryside.
Surrounded by orchards, between the Alpilles and the River Durance, Châteaurenard was a strategic defensive stronghold in feudal times. Built in 1170 by Lord Reynardus who gave his name to the village, Castel Reynard became Castel Renard, then Châteaurenard. A few remains from its long history have been preserved, notably two towers of the ancient castle. Based in Châteaurenard for over 15 years, Maxence Legros opened an agency there in 2019 before founding Legros Groupe Immobilier in 2023 with his partner, Laura Serrano, handling all aspects of real estate except trusteeship.
says Maxence Legros. Preferring to work with exclusive mandates, the team concentrates on quality rather than quantity. “Our aim is to see that each client is fully satisfied. We do everything possible, especially virtual tours, 2D and 3D blueprints, to orchestrate fast transactions all over the Alpilles, from Saint-Rémy to Avignon.” Maxence Legros also extends his proposals as far as Montpellier and Arles thanks to collaboration with two independent estate agents, and L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue for seasonal rentals. His analysis of the market ?
“We are seeing a decline in the number of buyers as compared with 2023, and a rise in the number of sellers. Buyers are, however, presenting solid files and concrete projects, which leads to transactions of quality even if some properties are witnessing a slight drop in their prices.”
Mostly French, the clientele of Legros Groupe Immobilier consists of investors and numerous buyers in search of a permanent new residence. Sixty per cent of them are from within the region, looking for a charming quiet house in the country or in town, near all amenities. “Châteaurenard provides all the services and shops necessary for a pleasant everyday life, whether for retirees or the actively employed with families. Already benefiting from several primary schools and two “collèges”, the commune has just inaugurated a secondary school, attesting to its dynamism. Proposing more attractive prices than some well-known neighbouring communes, Châteaurenard offers a strategic location, near access to motorways, while guaranteeing peaceful and secure living conditions.”
Furthermore, Legros Groupe Immobilier offers a wide array of properties from village houses at around 300,000 € to a prestigious contemporary “mas” of almost 300 m2 on offer at over 1 million euros, as well as authentic properties in need of renovation which may interest investors for purchase/resale purposes, and charming small properties at around 150,000 €, not forgetting a few apartments of quality.
